So basically you agree that Americans of African descent have few cultural connections to Africa? -

Whats the difference between afro american and african american???
Show me a place on the map called Negroe????
Where are there yellow americans??? show me the brown americans???
? still on some dumb ? in 2014.
Kai is an African American
She was born in Africa and later gained American Citizenship
Most of the people we call African Americans have never even been to Africa though
So it makes more sense to use the prefix Afro, which implies African descent but not direct ancestry
No ? , Kai is a Somilian American.
She has a nationality, she has a identity. ? , she has a damn flag to wave.
Were the ? is the afro-american flag?
Wheres the Afro continent ? ? Is it next to the continent called Weave?
? dont even understand the science Marcus Garvey brought u chimps, damn near a 100 years ago. ? still on square 1. When Marcus done showed u ? , how to get to the boss level a century ago.
It's Somali and Somalia is in Africa
there's nothing incorrect with what I said

Dude whats the difference between the black people in africa and there millions of cultures vs. black people here and there cultures?
Africa dont have one culture. Africans dont even have a cultural connection amongst each other. Thats why its so divided.
Wouldnt the black american cultures, just be a few of the cultures in africa???
U know, same ppl different culture...

I prefer Dark Sienna.
Tangentially, "? " derived from a Latin word for color(black); Now, a Chris Rock bit is used by chalks to justify their use of it as a way to separate the 'bad darkies' from the 'good darkies'. ? laziness, ignorance, & stupidity being linked with black skin. -
Ya'll too proud of these words. Talking bout crackers made ? . They made African too..

@D0wn now you know ? well you can't discuss law and civics, nationality, with negros. Stick to assinine race arguments and feelings and beliefs

I don't appreciate ? or African. If u r going to try to describe my appearance best to use black.
If u r going to describe my heritage, it's best to ask me about it. -
Scientist probably stemming from Latin background -
The term ? was coined by the white man and used at times with vitriol against us. The term Black American was created or coined by us. The term "Black American" was popularized by Stokley Carmichael back in 1966. It was in direct correlation with the Black power movement.
-
I think the work ? was used more as a positive from W.E.B. Du Bois. If you really want to hear confusion over color look at African descendants in Latin America.

Black- is not a nationality nor does it relate to a nation of people. There NEVER was a black nation, black flag or a people that claimed to be of Black descent. If you look up the word in the dictionary it denotes everything that harms. Well you might say, ‘you mean the white man dictionary’? You are a fool. The only language an African American often knows is the language he/she was taught. In this case ‘black’ does not denote a national origin.
? -You are not a ? or colored person because these words were used in a derogatory manner that humiliated the dark skin people and also the word does not denote a national origin or descent line. -

? wasn't used in a deorgatory manner. That's ? .
Have you heard of:
The American ? Academy
The Journal of ? History
United ? College Fund
The Universal ? Improvement Association and African Communities (Imperial) League (UNIA-ACL)
And so on? All of which were created by black folks?
In his Autobiography, Malcolm X refers to black people as 'negros.'
So it is pure historical revisionism -- of the most dubious kind -- to say that ? was used derogatorily.
That said, we are rightly suspicious of white people who use the term today as they may be censoring themselves from saying '? ' and may be signaling an attachment to a bygone time when 'blacks knew their place' and didn't have civil rights. -
Yeah "? " is outdated, but where is the proof it was used derogatorily. It's my understanding it was just the general term for black people in the past, used by both blacks and whites. When whites wanted to be insulting they had a lot of terms they'd resort to before ? .
