Gorgeous. Power. Dark Fantasy. Devil in a New Dress. The ? was spitting. The beats were ? fire. This was Ye in his zone. I agree wholeheartedly with GQ

Mainstream music panelists were mad that this album didn't even get nominated for album of the year..... The same mainstream music panelists that practically shunned him from that ? with Americas sweetheart and you're telling me that this album was not the best of 2010?? May I ask what album was?? -
Not even his best not sure how it's the best of the whole century
Right. And it still gets called best of a century. In music's defense, we have too many albums to call this one album of the century..
-
Good Fridays >>>>> The actual album.

3. Stankonia (2000)
OutKast
BECAUSE: André 3000 with a perm, bleating Don't pull the thang out unless you plan to bang? It wasn't hip-hop. It was electric gospel, like the heavens had opened up and revealed that the angels were cyborgs and that the Pearly Gates were electrically charged. Yow! With Stankonia's weird dimensions dominating radio—that's "B.O.B.," as well as "Ms. Jackson" and "So Fresh, So Clean"—OutKast proved that hip-hop had no outer edges and was, in fact, so dominant and so limitless as to not even be a genre at all.
Wtf are they talkin bout here -
Aint GQ for ? tho?
-
to me this was his best album
-
Overrated and forced to be "musical" not his best album at all.
-
100% classic album. Name another that gets perfect scores from hip-hop, indie and rock critics.
-
I'm curious...Is there anyone over say age 27 saying this is his best/best since 2000?
Maybe thats what it is...b/c i'm dumbfounded. I talk music w/ a lot of people irl and i dont know anyone that holds this album in this level of regard.
Thought the consensus was good project, yea not too much skipping, but there are not a lot of classic songs. (closest thing is Devil in a blue dress and Blame game). Its a bunch of 'yo that's my song', or 'man that ? go hard', but there arent really any standout, classic, 'moment' songs/. There is no We Major, Hey Mama, Late, Never Let Me Down, Last Call, etc. I know nggas, plual, that shed tears listen to Late Reg lol This album does not grab you. Its just a album of good songs, but the soul is gone. -
Blame Game, All of the Lights, Runaway, Power, Devil in a new dress

I'm less surprised that Kanye was number 1 and more surprised that Ghostface is number 10. He's not one of the rappers you'd think has had enough crossover success to put him that high on a list like this.
