i just dont see how mobb deep is anywhere near outkast league, we talkin about two supreme lyricists in outkast vs one decent and one who used to be good but fell off, mobb has a couple classic songs imo, outkast has far more classic material, and kast impact annihilates mobb and empd imo.
mobb and gangstarr may be more comparable, good in periods a, a few great moments, not elite tho. -

Mobb Deep were lyrical too, Mobb Deep has made a huge impact in hip hop. They arguably have 3 classics just like Outkast. Mobb has tons of classic music. When it comes to hip hop groups Mobb Deep is elite. If you're downplaying EPMD and Gangstarr then you need to do your homework. That's pretty embarrassing on your part. -
im not downplaying either group, i just see neither as elite, no need to be embarrassed in sayin outkast is on a whole nother level than those groups

They had positive cultural impact. I'd argue that they've impacted hip hop as much as the Wu and Kast. -
