The White House was partially evacuated and put on lockdown Friday after a person jumped the fence and made onto the compound, according to numerous White House reporters on social media.
The incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.
President Obama was not at the White House.
White House reporters said Secret Service and other authorities were responding with weapons drawn.
