right now Btheir are some pretty ? actors in Hollywood but who do u think should be an A-List actor along with Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, etc.



Derek Luke
Kerry Washington
Taraji P Henson(i think she gettin thier)
Angelia Bassett(seems like she has been forgotten)

    Outta your list maybe Kerry... she's been shrewd with her movie roles and she's my fave black actress now and she got the looks too...

    Love Angela..always had.. but she's not A-list material if you know what I mean... a low key actress

    Taraji... dunno... gave an OK performance in Button...

    Derek Luke has fallen off IMO

    For me its still Will, Denzel and Sam... who still have ? on lock... Halle has fallen off too

    Derek Luke has to be removed from the list after that horrible crying job he did in Madea Goes to Jail. Damn he was horrible in that particular part of the movie. LOL!

    Derek Luke: Its obvious his era of shine was in the '00!! Besides Notorious, he's done nothing!! He's #1 on the could've been A+ Actor List
    Mekhi Phifer: Nah he's done
    Sanaa Lathan: The only one I could say should be considered an A+, although I haven't seen her in much
    Kerry Washington: Yea she's getting close, but she's just not a recognizable name IMO! You know always played the co-star roles.
    Taraji P Henson: Really making a name for herself right now, so cross her off
    Angela Bassett: One of those actors just going on with the times
    Don Cheadle: Took the shine from Terrance Howard this summer, but honestly has been in big movies these last few years so cross him off
    Michael Ealy (barbershop): Yea he could've made some noise
    Anthony Mackie: He's been in some nice B rated movies, but yea he could of been bigger! Check out Desert Flower!!
    Viola Davis: She's getting there but same as Kerry
    Chiwetel Ejiofor: Before Michael Jay White came out with Black Dynamite, this was my ? right here!! Redbelt is my ? , 2012 wasn't that good to me, I didn't see Endgame! But I alot of respect for this guy and hope he does make it in Hollywood
    Michael Jay White: He could be there

    Honestly, these actors are finding other money with these B rated movies!! You see how Black Dynamite and Blood and Bone did for MJW!! These B rated movies are like Underground Hip Hop in a sense, especially right now!
    Mystery Team, Unthinkable (Samuel L Jackson), The Stranger (Stone Cold), I know some are not Black movies but I'm just saying don't sleep on these under the radar movies either

    True,but you gotta remember it's hard for a black actor to get roles.Still gotta pay bills.

    With that said I think dude is one of the most versatile actors he was Pinky in Next Friday,he was in menace 2 society,he did good in the low-budget Before I Self-Destruct...and get this I'm watching 3 ninjas yesterday on Youtube and he was in THAT. Don't laugh @ me for watching 3 ninjas,it was piff as a youngin' LOL

    idk i think Kerry Washington already is A-list based on the type of events she's invited to,roles she gets, and appearances she makes (tv interviews, magazines etc) Do you ever see those actors/actresses that you wonder why they're considered A-list even though they really don't do much on screen? She's one of them

    Also forest whitaker and don cheadle are A-list now as well. It isn't always about the number of roles an actor gets but the type of roles an actress gets. These are black actors/actresses that do not get ? roles


    **I do think anthony mackie should be a-list though. dude is so slept on

    What's sad about Angela Bassett is that she's classically trained for this. She graduated from the Yale School of Drama just like Meryl Streep did...but Hollywood, for some reason, just doesn't like Black actresses. That's why substantial roles are scarce.
