He needs to stop making silly songs like his new song, "body". If he wants to be taken seriously, he needs to make more serious music instead of searching for pop hits. He whines about everything.......

With all that said, I think he's one of the better young lyricist in the game right now. -
Fredo Corleone immediately came to mind when I read the thread title.
Fredo/Wale: "It ain't the way I wanted it! I can handle things! Im smart! Not like
everybody says...like dumb...I'm smart and I want respect!."
So true, lmao -
Clip with Jerry Seinfeld telling Wale to stop worrying about what people think about him

Random? He's done like 2 mixtape with the Seinfeld theme with show clips introducing and closing out songs now. -

I ? with Wale, some ? can't even get release dates and he been dropping albums pretty consistently. That's a win in it's self. If he was on TDE Top Dawg would have been out the paws on him.
-
? the IC tho, I like Wale and he's talented.
-
Saw him on First Take and His and Hers earlier this week. The problem with Wale is that he actually gives a ? about what people say about him...which makes him look overly emo. Just make music and stop listening to what everyone says. He should embrace the hate, instead of asking to be respected. Respect is earned, not given

I ? with Wale as a rapper but this ? need to just shut his emo ass up and make music. He needs to be happy where he is, a gold type rapper. You got dudes out here like Big Krit, Freddie Gibbs, etc making dope music and albums ain't cracking 100k.
-
He needs passion that's one thing I've noticed. He's dope he's insightful and he's is a good lyricist but he lacks passion and people can't connect with him. That's the major difference between him and his peers. On some level you can connect with KRIT, Cole, Kendrick and you can feel their passion, it's not the same with Wale.
He can make girl songs all day but that will just get him put In the Cupcake Drake category, which if you notice Drake isn't as respected as he probably should be, he's more of a laughingstock regardless of his success and now the same is happening to Wale. He's being labeled an emo rapper that does repetitive R&B features and that's not all the way false but dude can be more than that he just gonna have to switch it up. -
? say Wale got no passion... Wtf???
Anyways, Wale dropped a dope ass album... Its just as good as Coles. -
He is a quality artist but he's not passionate enough. He comes across as being whiny not thorough. Listen to Kendrick or KRIT, them boys go in and even when they not really saying ? they deliver with such ferocity that you think they are.
Wale hasn't shown that ability, it's why the Control verse was so popular it was HARD, it's why Mt. Olympus is popular the ? is HARD, where is Wale's answer to that, where is Wale's Firing Squad?
I'm a big fan of Wale too but truth is truth, he makes really dope mixtapes on par with the tapes of the others but his album material has no edge to it. It's too soft and lacks impact and aggression These cats out here raising the bar, Wale barely touching it, they mixing in a little of everything for everybody. -
What kind of man sits down and ask for respect

? hate Wale just to hate Wale.

Wale is a cornball ? who releases ? music
