FBI’s warning of white supremacists infiltrating law enforcement nearly forgotten

Bcause of intensifying civil strife over the recent killings of unarmed black men and boys, many Americans are wondering, “What’s wrong with our police?” Remarkably, one of the most compelling but unexplored explanations may rest with a FBI warning of October 2006, which reported that “White supremacist infiltration of law enforcement” represented a significant national threat.
Several key events preceded the report. A federal court found that members of a Los Angeles sheriffs department formed a Neo ? gang and habitually terrorized the black community. Later, the Chicago police department fired Jon Burge, a detective with reputed ties to the Ku Klux ? , after discovering he tortured over 100 black male suspects. Thereafter, the Mayor of Cleveland discovered that many of the city police locker rooms were infested with “? ” graffiti. Years later, a Texas sheriff department discovered that two of its deputies were recruiters for the ? .
In near prophetic fashion, after the FBI’s warning, white supremacy extremism in the U.S. increased, exponentially. From 2008 to 2014, the number of white supremacist groups, reportedly, grew from 149 to nearly a thousand, with no apparent abatement in their infiltration of law enforcement.
This year, alone, at least seven San Francisco law enforcement officers were suspended after an investigation revealed they exchanged numerous “? ” communications laden with remarks about “lynching African-Americans and burning crosses.” Three reputed ? members that served as correction officers were arrested for conspiring to murder a black inmate. At least four Fort Lauderdale police officers were fired after an investigation found that the officers fantasized about killing black suspects.
The United States doesn’t publicly track white supremacists, so the full range of their objectives remains murky. Although black and Jewish-Americans are believed to be the foremost targets of white supremacists, recent attacks in Nevada, Wisconsin, Arizona, Kansas and North Carolina, demonstrate that other non-whites, and religious and social minorities, are also vulnerable. Perhaps more alarmingly, in the last several years alone, white supremacists have reportedly murdered law enforcement officers in Arkansas, Nevada and Wisconsin.
In fact, the FBI reports that of the 511 law enforcement officers killed during felony incidents from 2004 to 2013, white citizens killed the majority of them. Of the citizens stopped by law enforcement officers in New York City and Chicago, white citizens were more likely to be found with guns and drugs. Given the white supremacist penchant for violence, guns and drug trafficking, the findings may be an indication that their network is just as destructive and far-reaching as that of foreign terrorist groups.
The unfortunate consequence of today’s threat is that a law enforcement officer may be good or bad, a villain or hero; one exceptionally prone to exhibit malicious forms of racial hatred, or distinctively suited to protect the racially oppressed. But the paradox doesn’t end there.
The white supremacist threat brings to light a dark feature of the American experience that some believed extinct. It rouses ingrained notions of distrusts between police and communities of color while bringing to bear the vital interest citizens of good will share in the complete abolishment of race as a judgmental factor.
As the nation struggles to resolve the perplexities of police brutality, the white supremacist threat should inform all Americans that today’s civil discord is not borne out of a robust animosity towards law enforcement, most of whom are professional. Rather, it’s more representative of a centuries-old ideological clash, which has ignited in citizens of good will a desire to affirm notions of racial equality so that the moral ethos of American culture is a reality for all.

White supremacist groups encourage their memebers to join the military and law enforcment. This is a war and its no ? game. They got us outgunned and outnumbered we need to wake up and strap up cuz if ? pops off it will be very ugly for us.

It's time we do the same. Stop with this ? the police bs.

Yeah the ones they "warned" them about are currently/most likely in high places by now.....
Smh
Marantha! -
There's a war going on outside no man is safe from...
-
smh white supremacist been infiltrated law enforcement since it's inception.
-
Saying white supremacists infiltrated law enforcement is like saying Black people infiltrated the Civil Rights Movement
-
Anyone see this little tidbit buried in the article.United States doesn’t publicly track white supremacistsThe United States doesn’t publicly track white supremacistsThe United States doesn’t publicly track white supremacistsThe United States doesn’t publicly track white supremacists
Nonetheless decades ago, they showed no qualms publicly tracking black militants and civil rights leaders. Hmm.
I guess only certain criminals are deemed detrimental to society enough to be legitimately tracked by the United States. It would be interesting to analyze the federal budget and compare the expenditure of funds allocated to tracking terrorists, gang members and drug dealers in contrast to white supremacists.

not shocked by this at all
-
Not shocked. As long as we let "them" take care of us, we will always be vulnerable to white supremacists. It's unpopular to suggest more black police officers in our communities but the notion that we can force them to act nice is absurd.
Sorry for the above no sign. My phone is sensitive. -
honestly, this seems like a bit of an excuse for larger issues with policing. it's not just white supremacists out there ? things up.
-
This reminds of that homeland security report that came out a few years ago about white supremacist in the army coming back from iraq.
-
I said this back with the Darren Wilson/Mike Brown killing. There was a interview with a KKK member on I think MSNBC. They were asking him about the ? threatening Ferguson protesters. Well he messed up and said something like "we've had conversations with the police of Ferguson". The host completely ignored this of course smh. So the ? DEFINITELY have their paws on all these shootings.
Im sure the DOJ knows this but refuses to release any findings -
Ay my IC ? come to London. ? isn't safe over there

The federal govt never went hard aginst white supremacist groups as hard as they did MOVE and the Black Panther Party. There is a reason for that. They have support even in the federal law enforcement agencies. Look how the feds handled the Cliven Bundy fiasco. They retreated. If they crackdown on these groups you will see members of the military and law enforcement defecting to those groups. ? is real black folk need to wake up and awakened the spirit of the BPP. We are sitting ducks in the belly of the beast. -

UK treats ? as bad as ? over here. They still pump drugs and guns into black neighborhoods in the UK the same they do over here. This is a global war against black people. You UK ? are asleep anyway. The UK wrote the book on white supremacy in the first place. -

youre trying to divide when obviously that man was trying to combine and conquer. Dont be a fool -
These crackas are playing chess. They can't do the things they were once able to do, so they use law enforcement.

lol its chalk and cheese mate. Nowhere near as bad. Not even on the same scale. Geez I'm not at all patriotic and am fully, fully aware of England's history and the ? the UK does currently. They have done and continue to do awful things.
But my man you're a helluva a lot safer here than there. Its not so bad. All day breakfast cafes, brown Asians, Pikies. Our politicians aren't as, erm, loud as yours but they make up for it with child sex rings so there's plenty to talk about.
The white hoes here are WOAT but I hear they're filthy in Newcastle -

I'd agree but here's the problem.
UK COPS AREN'T KILLING 2 BLACKS A WEEK
And maybe even more since we don't even track the numbers smh
So whatever they're going through at least they get to live. -
UK police don't be killing ? ..
-
I didn't need the FBI to warn me about the obvious.
I think I've mentioned this on here before, but my senior year college roommate was racist af.......unapologetically racist at that. Dude was going to school to be in law enforcement.....FBI to be specific. I can only imagine the things he's probably done if he made it. -
Then they want to say we are the problem in this country. They been saying it for over a hundred years that we are the root of the I'll of America
No, the root is this country was founded on conquering and what you sow is what you will reap if not your descendants
