Let's talk about it
I'm thinking of switching to metro pcs the $50 plan. I read up on it, sounds good. 3gb of data. Looking at getting a zte zmax smart phone. Anyone use metro pcs, how is it?

Lol
? MetroPCS. They started in the Bay Area when I was in high school. If youre trying to avoid a contract, ? with Cricket or Boost Mobile. -

oh and not knocking metro but 50 dollars a month on top of having to outright pay for a phone ? that noise....Sprint unlimited at 60 a month..plus taxes is a better deal not to mention you can a pretty decent smart phone for free..or something top of the line for what you would pay for the zte.

They're still around in my area. I used to have 2way pager through those guys.

I stopped ? with metropcs because they cooperate with law enforcement agency and allow them to shut down or disrupt their service in certain area

Well its ? metro pcs then -
glad there is a thread about this
looking into getting into this once my contract with ATT is up next June (i think)
seems like with Cricket, for ex, you might get 10gb of data at 4G speeds, but it throttles you down to 2G once you go over. I think 10gb is plenty, but im not sure if its at 4G for the entire 10gb.
if its 4G the entire 10gb...im never signing another contract. I'll just buy unlocked phones and avoid contracts. -
I was w/MetroPCS for 8 years before I finally had enough of them. When I was with them, I went through phones every 1yr 1/2 because the batteries didn't last for ? . Then the final straw for me was one year, it was a bad storm and I had no phone/internet service for a week. I was paying $60 for ? service. I went to T-Mobile early that summer (the same year T-Mobile bought MetroPCS).

i have metro and i pay $50 for 2 phones with unlimited talk and text. Theres a limit to the 4g data but i dont use internet much on my phone so i dont care. For me this ? is way better than spirit. Got tired of all the dropped calls and weird service interruptions.

well after reading some more, the "catch" is, while they advertise 4G LTE speeds, the speeds are still somewhat capped at a certain amount for how fast it takes to d/l something. i.e., it might be capped at 8mb for downloading. I still dont think its THAT bad assuming you not one of these folks who just insist on tethering every single device they have off their mobile phone, so for some moderate to heavy streaming of music, this shouldnt be an issue
will be an issue if you tryna binge watch netflix tho -
I currently use it and it's very useful, just don't overuse it though. Other than that it's great.

y'all phones still chirp?
-
Verizon Prepay FTW.
-
i like Metro PCS.some of their phones are ? but they are good

Still using my galaxy 4 paying 44$ a month for unlimited everything 3gb Per month and phone insurance. Shrugs. The gb is the difference, where I work I get free WiFi so I never need the 4g lte gb service. And the service is with t mobile, so the signal is always good.
