The Bundys are baaack!
I can exclusively reveal that a Married With Children reunion is in the works.
David Faustino, who played Bud on the sitcom, says he's developing a "spin-off" of the series.
"Sony has it. They're excited about it," Faustino told me last night at the premiere of his former co-star Christina Applegate's new comedy Vacation (in theaters tomorrow, July 29). "They're working out some legal issues that we hope they work out."
The best part?
"The whole cast, including Christina, is down to do little bits in it," Faustino said, adding, "The idea would be a pilot for a spinoff. That's all I can say right now. It involves me and few other people."
The show, which ran for 11 seasons on Fox until 1997, centered around the very dysfunctional Bundy family with Ed O'Neill as shoe salesman Al and Katey Sagal as his wife Peggy.
"All of us have said we would all be there for [Faustino]," said Applegate, who played the Bundys' daughter Kelly.
Asked what she thinks her character would be up to these day, Applegate said. "Kelly Bundy probably has like 10 kids.
I'm sure of it."
Married With Grandchildren, anyone?

Was the greatest show and very far ahead of its time.. I doubt they would be able to get away with the same Fat women and lesbian jokes like they could in the 90's.
-
wont be as good and will be super watered down with the jokes
-
This show has held up, heard people saying it was dated, but I found myself laughing a few times it holds up pretty good IMO

As long as Al gets to pop off at fat women, I'm down with this.
I expect Cosby jokes, Marci jokes, and the NO'MAAM tribe back in this greatness. -
Is grand father B gonna be there?

my wife is from Europe so she didn't know about this show. before we moved to Chicago I told it was essential viewing for American culture and we sat through and watched every single last episode. I ? you not there was not a single episode of this ? damn TV show that we weren't sharing a wealth of hearty laughs. ? never even got old.

I like it when Al said "let's rock".
I never understood why he didn't want to have sex with Peggy when she was as fine as the women in his Playboy magazines or the ones he was always drooling over.
