this may become a series depending on how well this thread goes. Hip Hop is over 40 years old, so often release dates overlap. sometimes multiple big name artists drop on the same day
so who dropped the better lp in your opinion?

Outkast - AqueminiAquemini is one of the very best albums ever made. Volume 2 is borderline wack.

Jay-Z Vol. 2I always hated on Vol 2 for novelty purposes but in all seriousness its a great album. Very party, active lifestyle based and upbeat for the most part. As yall can see other posters in here have stories about making moves, LIVING while experiencing this album.
The album had heavy buzz and i clearly remember it brung alot of isolated coast heads in my school together because everybody had a favorite track off the album they could vibe too. West coast dudes and alot of us southerners ate up week ago. ? east coast guys loved DMX and LOX features. Rocafella fans loved to hear pain in the ass again, bleek intro and beans debut. Every female at this time in 1998 was walking around in pedal pushers and halter tops sayin can i get a what what. Females were crazy about that song. The ladies loved amil talking ? . Females loved money aint a thing also.
The universal song that brought us all together was Hard Knock Life. That track was so ? raw upon first listening. The sample. The Bassline. Jay Z put his heart on the wax. It was an incredible piece of music for its time in 98. Only a ? jigga could totally dismiss the impact that song had because i cant. I used to bump that ? as motivation every afternoon for a month walking to work afterschool.
I Always thought Aquemini was the ass kissers outkast favorite album. ? yall hip hop heads aquemini does not bump at all to real ? . Aquemini is their hippie/yoko ono album. you can tell big boy was not feeling them granola and incense footrub raps. Dre ? up the vibe of the whole group forever with them forced ? raps about nothing. I hated this album on first listen still hate it to this day. Wack ass album that NY shows pity to because lyrical verses are displayed. Another reason why I dont ? with this album is because this album was the big bang that started the ? rap-sing songy rainbow revolution. ? was already looking at Dre like o_0 at the ATLiens album but this dude went full ? wearing blouses, make up, wigs, dresses, high heels and since NY gave him a pass the rest of hip hop followed and never checked him. Then he gets gayer each project until he ruins the concept of Outkast and ? up Big Boi years of equity by not giving clear answers on if he will ever record another album with a ? that kept the wolves from getting on his fruity ass in high school. -

Outkast - AqueminiWas tweeting about the Kast and Jay albums today. Jay album was dope. It's the album that put me on Jay. But the Kast album is a top 10 rap album of all time.
Fight me.
