I watched Dragon the Bruce Lee story last night, It came out in 1993, as a kid I loved this film and was crazy about all of the films Bruce made, even in my adult life this film is still great to me, Bruce lee's wife made sure the film was done right she even waited for the actor Jason Scott Lee who played bruce to grow up before she gave the go ahead, anyways what are some of your favorite biopic films?
Oh and can somebody recommend the best Steve Jobs biopic to me? there's more than one out there from what I heard.

Che Guevara is my hero so i have to say these...
Che kept diaries most of his life so the films are based off his own words -
The Petey Greene story. Highly underrated...
-
The James Brown movie is criminally slept on.
Dude deserves two oscars.
He played 3 James Browns in one movie -

I thought it was very good. Especially when he was the older version of JB
Way better film than when he played Jackie Robinson -
Im just gonna throw the first Ipman and Jet Li's Fearless in there

I think Ray is still the gold standard. Casting is perfect, and when you think about everything they covered...Ray's childhood (going blind, his mother, his brothers death, how he learned to play piano) into his adulthood with family, kids, other women, drugs, racism, and betrayal...and still managed to put forth his incredible impact on not just music, but the music business. Plus the soundtrack itself. And none of it is sugar coated.

Most biopics follow the same formula i can't ? wit em
Humble upbringing- rise to fame- come to Jesus moment(usually alcohol or drugs) -then redemption, death
Yawn.
Malcolm X, bc of Spike and bc of Malcolm's unique life is a lil different and my favorite -
1 that follows that formula but is good enough to overcome it is Rebound: Earl Manigault story
-
Not a standard biopic... but I think it's an instant classic
-
Malcolm X
Muhammad Ali &
Ray Charles
All been mentioned.
Denzel, Jamie and Will killed their roles -
I didnt know Goodfellas was a true story
