Kid Cudi has developed something of a cult following over the course of his last few releases, which have become increasingly experimental. Still, there are no projects more beloved in the Cudi catalog than the first two Man On The Moon projects (excluding his mixtape work that is).
When Cudder announced plans to record Man On The Moon 3 (assumed to be released after his impending double LP, Speedin' Bullet To Heaven), early fans disappointed with his recent output rejoiced at the assumption that the project would be a return to his more accessible form, but according to Cudi, we'll never hear that side of him again.
"News Flash: motm3 doesn't exist. Its just a title. It will be nothing like any of my previous work just like all my releases," he wrote on Twitter. My first 2 albums were meant to be untopped. I didn't even think Id live to make another record after motm 2... My point is, u cant top timeless. And that was what we aim for everytime."
The rapper respectfully told fans expecting to hear his early sound again to give up hope, writing, "So, if you dont like what Im doin now, please abort the train. Do not buy my music from here on out. Its not for you. No hard feelings."
He went on to say that he'll have a release date to announce very soon, which should be for Speedin Bullet To Hell, rather than MOTM3, or perhaps they're now one in the same? We'll keep you updated with new info.

So It Won't Be Trash This Time?
-
what a ?

And to be honest that's fine. I never expect rappers to top their first few projects. The issue with rappers now is they make a series of albums (blueprint/man on the moon/insert album series here) and they will make a 2nd or 3rd installment 5 or 10 years after the last album wit the nostalgic title to get sells.
Rappers should really lay off making these installment albums and just name that ? something else. 90% of the time the 2nd or 3rd version of a series usually suck nowadays. -
Bruh this dude needs to stop. If it isn't gonna have that MOTM signature sound why even name it MOTM3?
Dude has been trolling with this non-existent album for 3 years now -
And he's basically preparing folks for the possibility it will be experimental trash l
-
I ll reserve judgement for when the album drops
-
This "warning" sounds more like a threat.
-
Please don't name it MOTM3 and ruin it's name
-
Cudi fell the ? off with these consecutive trash releases ..after hearing the latest hot garbage he put out I'm sure his string of ? releases will continue
.....he needs to get back on drugs -
Cudi always been trash save a couple of songs

Thank the good lord shady was banned before this thread was made.

Didn't he split from the dudes who were heavily involved in the first two motm albums?

Emile and Plain Pat. Than he got back with him when he announced he was "working" on MOTM3. That was like a year ago. -
? was supposed to be bigger than what he is. After his first two releases, I swore he would be mentioned around names like Drake and Cole, then he started putting out that fufu ? ? . Smh.
Not a surprise though. Him and MGK are Shaker dudes, (faux upscale suburb of Cleveland) where the men and women are notorious for being weirdos and cornballs. -
TBH, Indicud was his last good album.
-
This ? just like B.o.B. He don't want to be great at something he wants to be "creative". Im not the biggest fan of the dude but he has talent. He chooses to alienate fans with ? like WZRD and all that "experimental" ? . In his instance he needs to stick with what worked and what made him successful.

Im a big ass Cudi fan and I ? hated SBTH I dunno why some of these Kudi fans are so blind. Theres maybe one song i listen to now out of the whole 25.
A Kid Named Cudi 10/10
MOTM 9/10
MOTM2 10/10
WZRD 4/10
INDICUD 5/10
SATTELITE FLIGHT 7/10
SBTH 1/10
He just constantly gets worse as he strays farther and farther away from what made us like him. He may have a cult like following be if he drops 2 to 3 more trash albums im sure he will be done.
-
Wait, how's sattelite flight 7/10 if there's like 10 songs and only 1 in wich he's rapping and the rest is just random ass humming with some of the ? beats that an Atari could make?
-
Wow... Yall wasnt ? with Indicud? I love that album (well most of it). He can go jump into the MK pit for those last 2 offerings though. So if he wanna continue with the experimental ? , let him. That leaves more dope ? for me to look into.
Ps, cosign that ? gettin back on drugs. -
Never understood the hype behind Cudi. *shrugs*

I was. Indicud still get spins from me. I even ? with "Pretty Girls" lol -
so it will be good ?

Indicud was a good album. It could have been his best but there was too many misses on it. That was his last good project. I didnt mind Satellite Flight, coulda been better but there was too many random instrumentals that led to nothing
