Anybody know why he was confronted by the cops to begin with? Did he actually do something or were the cops looking for a problem?

Domestic assault on woman

Minneapolis NAACP leaders said the alleged assault victim suffered a hurt ankle and had to undergo surgery. -
The 911 call
Jamar Clark and his girlfriend, identified for the first time on Wednesday as 41-year-old RayAnn Hayes, were in attendance at a birthday party for 39-year-old Nekelia Sharp on the evening of Nov. 14, 2015 at an apartment on the 1600 block of Plymouth Avenue.
Later that evening, an argument began between Sharp and her husband. Hayes allegedly stepped in to break it up when she was grabbed by Clark. That led to an argument between Hayes and Clark.
Hayes injured her ankle in that altercation, and both she and Clark suffered ? wounds, which were bleeding.
A 911 call was made around 12:20 a.m. from the residence. When paramedics arrived, they found Hayes intoxicated and unable to walk, with a split lip, an abrasion on her nose and bruising on her left eye. As paramedics carried Hayes, they saw Clark standing outside the building and "acting kind of odd." As they walked passed him, Hayes said, "That's the guy who did this to me."
Freeman said paramedics requested backup, as the apparent assailant was at the scene. As they put Hayes on a stretcher, Clark approached them and said he was her son. Hayes replied he was not her son.
Clark then began yelling at one of the paramedics, and told Hayes he was coming to see her. http://www.kare11.com/mb/news/local/freeman-details-the-events-of-jamar-clarks-death/110309304
