-40 -- yes 40! -- top 100 hits, including five No. 1 songs
-Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004
-His 2007 Super Bowl halftime performance drew 140 million viewers
Preciate it sir. I would guess over the years its sold more and its probably gonna sell even more now but a diamond album is huge regardless. -

PrinceI depends on what you're into. If you prefer live music/instrumentation or getting some ? then it's Prince. If you like performance/dance driven music then MJ.
I think MJ is the better performer and Prince is a better artist. I just think MJ's peak was better.

which was nothing more than an ankh which represents eternal life, regained his name and control of music. prince was one of the first artist to really dominate independent music distribution over the net. he locked the ? down and took FULL CONTROL of his music. if you don't believe go see how much of his ? you can find on youtube.
meanwhile MJ played ball with the industry and eventually went broke.

PrinceI was around in the 80s. MJ only released a handful of material. Thriller came out in 1982 and was HUGE. Then he took a hiatus and came back with Bad in 1987. Both solid albums but during that time Prince was dropping an album every year.
Having said that, MJ had been around since 1969, maybe even earlier. So MJ has a full decade headstart.
But having lived through those years, Prince had more hits and when he got out of his contract he figured out a way to bypass the music industry and he took control of his own music.
I'm rolling with Prince. -
