Tory Lanez is releasing his debut album I Told You later this summer just as promised. The album is set to drop on August 19th.
It has been a long time coming for Tory but his career has exploded ever since the release of ‘Say It.’ With singles like ‘LA Confidential’ & ‘LUV’ also out, expect a wide array of sounds and not a lot of features on the album. Hell, maybe we’ll get that Kanye West ‘Say It’ remix after all.
Tory recently stated in an Hot 97 interview that he is coming for Drake‘s spot and he’ll have to deliver with I Told You.
“Hip Hop is a contact sport. I’m here to compete. I’m here to be No. 1. I’m here to be the greatest. Anybody that’s standing in the way, whether it’s him or anybody, it’s gotta go the way it’s gotta go. I’m not gonna stop until I get that.”

Hhmmmm at the very least he's going gold I think he might even go platinum. He has a lot of records.
Bryson Tiller hit plat with his album so I don't see why lanez can't do the same as long as his album is good -

Tory Lanez's highly anticipated new album "I Told You" arrives in three weeks.
It’s safe to say Tory Lanez has been having quite the run for himself over the past year or so; signing a new deal with Interscope Records, going on multiple nationwide tours, & releasing two smash hits in the process with “Say It” & “Luv.” Let’s not also forget that he’s been going back & forth with the 6 ? , Drake, & released countless #FargoFriday releases over the past few months as well. However, all of that was just preparation for his highly anticipated debut album I Told You, which will be dropping in three short weeks on August 19.
Looking to amp up the promotion, Tory has decided to make the album available for pre-order on iTunes at midnight, ultimately revealing the album cover & tracklist in the process. Laced with 14 featureless records in total, the project will contain the previously heard singles “Say It,” “Luv” & the newly-released “Flex,” which was just made available as an early pre-order release.
