is it really harmful to your health? I've heard this a lot.

    Some people disregard it as bro science. But one of the problems that I've researched about high fructose corn syrup is that it's like half glucose and half fructose. Table sugar is sucrose. Your body has to digest sucrose and break it down before it can enter your blood stream. It doesn't spike your insulin levels as much, so you're not as likely to develop diseases such as diabetes and gain weight(your body retains more weight when insulin levels spike). The thing with HFCS, is that is goes directly into your blood stream. All of it, at once, because it's already been broken down. It spikes the hell out of your insulin levels. But for real, too much sugar will ? you just like HFCS, maybe not as fast. But it'll ? you just the same.

    HFCS turns into fat or a close resembles if you dont burn it off immediately. It cannot be broken down normally. But Lorenzo explained it better.
