Hopefully, this will help funnel some of all the chatter and to provide a place to talk about gaming news and other related articles.
Also wanted to put new info about up and coming games and then when the game releases, it can then have its own thread
Lets see how this goes
My first contribution, a PC game called X-COM 2. I played the first one and it was my first ever experience playing a turn based strategy game. I loved it. The sequel is scheduled for a February 2016 release. Might be a day one cop for me. Idk if i can wait until the Steam spring sale for this one.
But first look

Coleco Back?!In a partnership with Retro Video Game Systems, Coleco has announced a new cartridge-based console system called the COLECO Chameleon.
Chameleon comes a little over 30 years after the company's Colecovision, which made IGN's list of the top 25 video game consoles of all time. Released in 1982, Colecovision was known for bringing popular arcade games into the home.
In a partnership with Retro Video Game Systems, Coleco has announced a new cartridge-based console system called the COLECO Chameleon.
Chameleon comes a little over 30 years after the company's Colecovision. Released in 1982, Colecovision was known for bringing popular arcade games into the home.
Coleco claims the Chameleon will be "a versatile new video game system that serves as a modern day take on the classic game console," and is promised to "accurately play classic games." The system will also play new 8-, 16-, and 32-bit games, all in the spirit of the "golden age of gaming."
Retro Video Game Systems president Mike Kennedy calls it "a love-letter to all the classic cartridge based gaming systems that came before it." Kennedy thinks it will take gamers "back to a simpler time," a time he says when games "were all about great gameplay and fun factor."
We can expect the Coleco Chameleon to launch in early 2016, and for a sneak peek at Toy Fair New York 2016, from February 13-16. No price has been announced yet, but Coleco tweeted that the console will be "significantly more affordable than the first go-around."

I be trying brah. Lol
Needs some me traffic. The way I see it, if it's a popular game or a real industry game changer, it can get its own thread but a lot of articles just don't get enough traction to warrant their own threads. Just post it in here, let the convo go on for a few posts until the next story -
man, im bout to go ham with this thread

I stickied this to see how it goes, but for the most part individual threads will still have their own threads. If this thread has no traffic after the next couple of days I'll unstick it.
@sion, thanks my brotha
the thought is to funnel all those unnecessary threads into one comprehensive one b/c it might get some traffic, then its on to the next subject
of course, games like the maddens, 2k's, triple A releases deserve their own thread, but not the ? ol boy was spamming the forum with
i'll do my best to keep this one updated -

PlayStation Plus Subscription Price Increasing
Sony has announced PlayStation Plus membership prices will rise to $59.99 for 12 months and $24.99 for three months. The price of the monthly plan will remain at $9.99. The new pricing will go into effect on September 22.
The announcement was made on the PlayStation Blog, where an old post about August's free PlayStation Plus titles was updated with a statement.
"This marks the first time that PS Plus membership prices will increase in the U.S. and Canada since the launch of the service in 2010. The new pricing reflects the current market conditions while enabling us to continue providing exceptional value to our members," it reads.
"As a member, you will continue to enjoy the benefits and features that enable shared experiences, such as online multiplayer, free games, and exclusive discounts. You will also continue to get exclusive benefits such as online game save storage and discounts across the PlayStation digital services."
The prices of PlayStation Plus subscriptions are also increasing in Canada. The yearly price will be $69.99 CAD, three-month subscriptions will cost $29.99 CAD, and the monthly price will be $11.99 CAD.
As of yet, the European PlayStation Blog has not indicated prices will rise in Europe. This may be because there was a PlayStation Plus price hike in the UK in 2015. Before this, in 2014, Sony raised the price of PlayStation Plus in South Africa, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and India.
PlayStation Plus subscriptions grant owners the ability to play online, discounts on store content, and free games delivered monthly. August's titles included Tetris-esque title Tricky Towers and the most recent Yakuza game.
A PlayStation Plus subscription is required in order to continue playing the free games Sony provides. Once a subscription lapses, access the the library of free games is rescinded.
