Who Is The Bob Marley Of Hip Hop?

If you ask somebody to name a Reggae artist they'll probably say Bob Marley.

In fact, if you ask somebody who doesn't know anything about Reggae, Bob Marley is probably the only Reggae artist they can name.

So who is the Bob Marley of Hip Hop? I mean the one person that everybody knows, even your grandmother.

There's a lot of great MCs that are slept on, Nas, Kool G Rap, Black Thought to name a few, those are MCs that are legends in their own right, but I don't think mainstream America is aware they exist.
