I dont think dec 4 is the official date either but for sure Ether was out 3-4 weeks before stillmatic release date. I could of swore ether dropped right after the thanks giving break either on that weekend or monday morning. I remember all the sites caught fire once the kay slay radio rip started making rounds on that day before noon and the whole campus was sleepy eyed trying to get in computer lab on hiphopgame.com and y2khiphop.com to get a listen. It happened early in the week and a few weekends before our campus got let out for xmas break 2001. Ether leaked then 2nd childhood, then No ideas original, OG youre the man, and finally one mic before Got yourself video premiered on 106 and park in dec 2001. Everyone knew stillmatic was a classic a few weeks before it dropped.


Another reason why i know ether came out before 12/13/01 is because Bred 11s came out that saturday on dec 15th 2001 and all the jigga warriors were ? off waiting in line talking about super ugly was better and how stillmatic was wack.
