evacuation of the Expeditionary Force? that is a very crucial battle nobody's really done on screen yet. some real 300/Zulu survival against all odds type ? . Germans ? up tho, they had like a quarter million soldiers dead to rights and let them slide
i'd rather see him tackle something like the Battle of Stalingrad with like a 300 million budget, but he knows what he's doing.

Cast looks great. Harry Styles though? Smh

Questionable casting, but then the internet went DEFCON 1 when Heath Ledger got announced as The Joker. I trust Nolan with his casting choices. -

Here for it!

I can't manage to muster up any interest in this movie at all.

This will be the most pretentious World War II movie since Flags of Our Fathers and The Thin Red Line...and I liked The Thin Red Line. -

I've been with Nolan since Memento (which still remains one of the GOAT vhs rentals i ever made just randomly picking something off the shelf) but this is truly the first project of his i can't get jiggy with, the subject matter doesn't interest me at all so it doesn't really matter who made this, but i'd rather he had done something else.

MY thoughts exactly. I always thought that Nolan works better with smaller budgets but it looks like we won't be getting stripped down Nolan for a while unless his movies start misfiring at the box office. This might be the beginning of that. I don't know why you would release a movie like this in the summer. I'll reserve judgement until the second trailer but this looks very uninspiring from Nolan.
