while i agree, i would rather see these types of "hood" films vs Menace to society in 2017
that story has been told to death, but there is always something good imo about seeing somebody overcome obstacles from the hood and try to make stuff better. -

This is a reality for alot of folks around the world though. May not all be the same struggle but the bottomline is the struggle is still there. Think about how many billionaires or millionaires are in this country yet people are still on the streets starving., gotta work multiple jobs just to live life, homeless, human trafficking etc. The struggle continues especially for the black man -
