May be look into MP3 Rage...it might take a moment or two, to navigate through, but

Yes you can, I use downloadhelper as an add-on through firefox. Works great.

I use Ant Video Downloader (http://www.ant.com/video-downloader) under FireFox. Grabs pretty much everything you can think of including music being "streamed" on Bandcamp, Soundcloud, etc.

also the new realplayer has a d/l thing built into it. So when u watch a video a lil box will pop up on the top of it asking you if you want to download it

There would always be a rectangular box labeled "download" with a blue/orange outline below the video. You didn't need a Youtube download app, but I don't see that anymore. I'll try one of these.

i been using realplayer, comes with a videodownloader - only works in IE for me tho

you can compress your video to a suitable size or convert it to other formats , and I know there are many programs can convert the videos to a high quaility mp3, such as wonderfox's hd video converter pro, dvdfab. For my experience, hd pro is better, and if your video isn't mp3, but is avi, I think this article will tell you how to play video on android phone successfully.

I got internet download manager
If you need a "free" version of it. I'll upload it to my depositfiles account
YouTube videos for me usually download in mp4, mkv format -
I use IDM and xstreamloader for chrome. If your on firefox just about anything will work. Im starting to get into writing code in that black box they call the command line prompt, its way less resource heavy and youll never have to deal with ads.
